This is a virtual program. Please register using the link below in order to receive Zoom information. For ages 3 weeks to pre-crawlers and their grownups (approximate age range is 0-8/9 months) Baby Yoga is a class-focused on gentle movement and developmentally-safe yoga poses for the babies! The parent assists the baby into easy folds and simple stretches timed with sweet songs and rhymes. The parent does little to no physical yoga themselves as these poses are solely focused on supporting the baby's growing body. Modifications and instruction are provided for a baby's particular developmental stage during the class to ensure that every sweet pea is practicing the poses designed just for that age and stage. Parents are encouraged to take breaks as needed during the class to nurse, feed, or change a diaper. Please register by clicking HERE. This storytelling cycle focuses on stories about new beginnings, turning points, and moments of change. Maritza Guadalupe Lezama Flores will lead us in a Spring Flora Block Printing Workshop. Celebrates the season through printmaking. In this hands-on workshop, participants will design and carve their own floral block prints, choosing from a flower field, an arrangement, or a single detailed bloom. Using soft rubber blocks ideal for beginners, attendees will learn carving techniques, inking, and watercolor background methods to create three unique spring-inspired prints. This two-hour session includes a 30-minute introduction, one hour of carving, and one hour of printing and painting. Each participant will leave with their own reusable block and finished prints to take home. Bio: Maritza Flores is a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, and Programs & Projects Manager at Refuge Art School. She first joined Refuge as a high school student and discovered art as both healing and purpose. Now at 22, she supports young artists with the same care that shaped her own path, mentoring through lived experience and community connection.
