Children ages 3-5 are invited to come play with the versatile giant soft block sets, which help inspire creativity and prompt self-directed exploration, problem solving, social interaction and lots of fun! Monitored by volunteer playground associates, Imagination Playground is designed to encourage collaborative play, inspiring children to work together to build, design, and invent. These play sets promote inclusive play by offering endless possibilities for children of all abilities to engage in role-playing, construction and imaginative adventures. Durable yet lightweight, the Big Blue Blocks are easy to stack, move and rearrange, fostering teamwork, physical activity and social interaction. From building structures to creating new games, children remain active, engaged and immersed in hours of fun. This program is generously supported by the Harold B. and Elizabeth L. This four-week workshop explores the concepts and magic of stop action animation. Participants will collaborate to make a different stop action movie each week. Techniques will include flip books, claymation, and stop-action movies. Along the way, children will make paper backdrops, title cards, clay models and characters, with the goal of making a short feature film!
