The Outdoor Fitness Club is a free, monthly, drop-in outdoor workout designed to help adults and teens build strength, mobility, and healthy movement habits in a supportive and friendly environment.Each session includes:- Functional bodyweight exercises suitable for everyday life- Low-impact, scalable movements for all fitness levels- A guided cool-down and stretch to support recovery and mobility- Emphasis on consistency, confidence, and long-term health habits- Access to the "Family Legacy Project" free online Skool community, which includes:- Sustainable nutrition education and habit-building guidance- Simple at-home workouts and movement ideas; 60+ Recipes & more!- Supportive accountability and family-focused health resources- Free samples of high-quality protein powder, bars, energy drinks, and wellness products (ages 18+)This is a drop-in series, so participants may attend any session without committing to the full series. Diane’s interactive stories of nature and gardening fun include humorous tales about Sassy Earthworms, Sprouting seeds and a join-in Story-Song of how the Star in the Apple came to be. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Marlborough Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. The library is an official site for free summer meals! Throughout the summer, children and teens are invited to enjoy a fun LEGO playtime, and a nutritious, free lunch. Available on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is needed. This program runs Monday thru Friday. Lunches for children will be from 12 to 1pm and lunches for teens will be from 1 to 2pm. This program is federally-funded by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, and administered by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

In this class, you will learn how to identify and select wild edibles (e.g. mushrooms, berries, greens, or even trees) via a slideshow and in person samples to see and feel. You will see how to identify these seasonal finds and how you can then incorporate them into your food or drink!About the Presenter:Emily Makrez, Owner of F-Word Farm: a place for farming, foraging and fermenting. My interest in food took me to Seattle to pursue a Master's degree in nutrition at Bastyr University, but my love of New England brought me back home to start my own farm and delve deeply into the world of fermentation (lacto, koji, vinegar, & alcoholic) and foraging. My focus is on using every last bit of what nature provides and making it taste delicious.This program is offered as a part of our Summer Reading initiative, "Plant a Seed, Read."
