AARP Foundation Tax-Aide will again partner with the Marlborough to offer free income tax assistance and filing.  Tax-Aide volunteers are trained and IRS certified to prepare most personal income tax returns except for returns with rental income, crypto-currency exchanges, and other less common types of items.  For a complete list of what theycan help with and documents needed to complete a tax return, visit aarpfoundation.org/TaxAide. The program does not discriminate in any way, but is intended for low to moderate income taxpayers, with a focus on the elderly.  Volunteers will offer in-person service at the Marlborough Library every other Saturday mornings from February 7 thru April 4.Appointments are required; call the library to schedule an appointment after January 15. Pre-Appointment paperwork, available at the library, will need to be filled out and brought with you to your appointment.

Rick Keller, from Perfect Pastime 617, is offering a community-wide collectibles appraisal event. So gather up all your Pokémon/sports cards/memorabilia, coins, watches, video games/consoles, comics, fine/broken jewelry, sterling silver, etc. to see if you have treasure or trash! All antiques and collectibles are welcome!*Rick is a Foxborough native who has been involved in the industry for many years. He has generously allotted some time to share his valuable knowledge with all who attend.THIS PROGRAM REQUIRES OUTSIDE REGISTRATION THROUGH RICK KELLER. Please register for a ten-minute time slot with Rick here. Registrants must supply photos of what they plan on bringing in well before the event. This program is limited to a maximum of 18 participants.*Please note that weapons of any type are NOT permitted, such as, but not limited to: knives, swords, guns, harpoons, grenades, brass knuckles, etc. All violators will forfeit their timeslot with Rick, as there is a zero-tolerance policy.

Do you know an emerging reader? We have the perfect program for them! Read this month's selection at home, then then join Ms. Kerry for a book talk, snack and fun activity. This month, we're reading Yasmin the Builder, by Saadia Faruqi.This month's book will be available approximately one month before the program date, and can be found at the main Welcome Desk. Although adults aren't required to attend this program with their child, adult caregivers must remain in the building during the duration of the program. ***Please note: Snacks and juice will be served.
