Mike's goal is to create a supportive learning environment where older adults can explore the world of technology and gain valuable digital literacy skills. His one-hour, live, Zoom-based classes will teach you how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You may take these classes online from the comfort of your home, or we can set you up in the library with a laptop. Handouts for each lesson are available and will be emailed to patrons when they register. Back by popular demand, it's sea glass art with the ArtLab! This freestyle, resin art project can be designed any way you like. Patrons will be provided with a prepped window, sea shells, sand, colored glass, and more! You can bring your own items to add in as well, and while Mike will guide you through each step, how your piece looks is ultimately up to you. (Due to curing time, the piece will need to sit overnight and be picked up the next day.) This class is for adult patrons ages 18 and up. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the popularity of our art programs, the Millbury Public Library will approve patrons by lottery and require that you arrive five to ten minutes early for the class. If you are not on time, your registration will be cancelled. Late arrivals will not be accepted into the program, and that space will be filled with patrons from the waiting list. Once the program has begun, a sign will be posted on the doors to let patrons know that they cannot enter after this time, out of respect for the presenter. If you are unable to attend, please contact the library 24 hours in advance at 508-865-1181, so that we may contact a patron from the waiting list.
