Calling all curious 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! Join us for a four-week, hands-on exploration of the tiny creatures living all around us: ticks. Using microscopes, art, 3D printing, photography, and plenty of creativity, young scientists will investigate ticks up close, learn how different species live and behave, and discover practical ways to protect themselves, their families, and their pets from tick bites. Along the way, we’ll turn what we learn into art—from larger-than-life tick creations to designing our own tick-inspired characters. Part science lab, part art studio, Lil Lab is a chance to look closely, ask questions, make things, and learn by doing—all while exploring a topic that matters right here on Martha’s Vineyard.
