Join us in the Imagination Station for our Tots and Tykes playgroup - a program for caregivers and their littles to meet and play with one another in in the Library. The program is open to caregivers and their littles to participate in pre-set activities in our Imagination Station. The activities vary week to week, so be sure to check in often to see what we have to offer. This drop-in group meets every Monday from 10:00 to 11:30 and is best for the littlest members of the community, but older siblings are also welcome! This club will play the American version of Mah Jongg and follow the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules. Have you ever wanted to learn Mah Jongg? Haven't played in years and would like to?  Drop in and join us for this weekly club!  Beginners will get help from Joyce, a local Mah Jongg enthusiast and teacher.  The club will primarily meet in the Community Room.  If the Community Room has another event, the club will relocate for that day to another area of the library. Mah Jongg is a 4-person game of strategy and skill that originated in China. There are many versions of this game, with the American version enjoying popularity in the U.S. today. Learning to play involves getting familiar with the tiles, learning the specifics of dealing & play, and especially learning to decipher and become familiar with the official card of playable hands released annually by the NMJL.
