Drop-in Program for Children Ages 2-6 along with Their Caregiver:Connect with your children through story, music and movement to introduce yoga and mindfulness. Children will adore acting out stories via yoga poses and playing mindfulness games. Adults will learn techniques to use in their own homes to ease big emotions, sensory challenges and anxiety. The Friends of the Scituate Town Library invite you to participate in the 4th Annual Library Art Auction from May 7-17, 2025. The artwork will be available for viewing in the Scituate Library’s Art Gallery and on the auction’s website www.32auctions.com/Scituate2025. We are fortunate to have twenty-six talented local artists who have generously donated their work including watercolors, oils, acrylics, and mixed media paintings. Please join the artists for a reception at the Library Gallery on Friday, May 9th, 5:30-7:00 pm, wine and cheese included! All proceeds from this silent auction will fund the free family-friendly outdoor Summer Concert Series to be held at the Library each Wednesday evening in July, beginning July 9th. Led by experienced teen Dungeon Masters, you’ll dive into the legendary storytelling game, Dungeons & Dragons. Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to the game, all are welcome to join the adventure. We’ll meet on one Thursday night in both April and May for an evening of epic quests and plenty of fun. Bring a level 3 character ready to play, or use one we’ll provide for you. For Children Ages 0-5 Along with Their Caregivers*Mamasteph brings her traditional children's songs for sing-alongs and musical stories to the Scituate Town Library!Please note: Starting in May, the library will eliminate the ticket requirement for its popular Mamasteph program. We hope that this change will allow easier program access for families who cannot make it during the week for tickets. However, due to fire code restrictions, this room has a strict capacity limit per show. Once we have reached the fire code limit, we are unable to admit any additional people to the room. We will evaluate this new process on a regular basis, and make modifications as needed. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation as we transition to this new system!This program is generously funded by the Friends of Scituate Town Library.

Social Work Office Hours The Social Work teams of Scituate, Cohasset, and Hingham are available each Monday from 1-3 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) to help with a variety of issues. Social workers can assist with short-term counseling related to a variety of mental health and psychosocial needs, grief and bereavement, life transitions, domestic violence, substance use, hoarding/cluttering, and more. They can also provide assistance with resources like housing, heat and energy assistance, veteran’s support, and food insecurity. Social workers can also help create connections to long term mental health and substance use treatment and resources. These are drop-in hours and are held in Study Room #109, but if you would like to make an appointment, please contact #339-788-1916.

With constructive feedback, students will be inspired to refine their projects, celebrate their accomplishments, and continue exploring the world of robotics.
