Get your costume ready for Halloween! This October, the Forest Park Branch is happy to help patrons of any age make the Halloween costume of their dreams. These workshops will give participants access to sewing machines, select sewing patterns, paint, fabric, and other basic crafting tools & materials, with staff on hand to help trouble shoot ideas and teach you how to use our supplies. Bring hopes, ideas, half finished projects, materials you want to use, a can-do attitude, and we'll see what we can make together!Already finished your costume? Great! Show it off at Forest Park's Halloween Bash to enter our costume contest.

Participants are welcome to drop off gently used costume pieces and/or clothing they're ready to part ways with starting Wednesday, Oct. the 1st in exchange for a Halloween Swap Ticket. Redeem your Halloween Swap Ticket on Saturday, Oct. the 4th to pick from the pile, or bring clothing day-of to trade with the pot!Afraid you won't find something that works for you? Come anyways and see if there's any clothing pieces close to your vision, then bring 'em back for our Costume Making Workshops every other Thursday in Oct.
