Join us as we kick off Goodnow Library's Spring Concert Series with guitarist Sean Fullerton! Sean will delight us with the RIC 12 - A Tribute to the Sound of Jangle Rock, a tribute to the Rickenbacker brand electric 12-String guitar, which quickly became the iconic guitar sound for the 1960's Folk Rock movement. The "RIC 12" was first introduced by The Beatles in the "A Hard Day's Night" album in 1964, and popularized by The Byrds in 1965. Since then, the "RIC 12" has been the central sound of countless hits to this day, including the "Friends" TV theme by The Rembrandts. The music program will be a one hour trip down memory lane with some of these classic sing-a-long songs from The Beatles, Byrds, Beach Boys, Who, Monkees, Mamas & The Papas, XTC, and more...with Sean singing and playing the RIC 12 guitar, while supported by backing tracks that he made himself. Join the Goodnow Library each month for a stroll through Sudbury's local history. Every 4th Wednesday from 1:00-2:00pm, join our local history librarian on a history walking tour to uncover new stories of familiar locations through town. Walks will be about 30-40 minutes on flat, easily accessible trails and are open to all.  In March, we will explore the intersection of the two rail trails running through Sudbury: the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail and the Mass Central Rail Trail. We'll discuss the history of Sudbury's rail lines and how this history continues to shape the landscape of the town today. Walkers should plan to meet in the lobby of the Goodnow Library. Each month, registrants will be provided the new tour location alongside meeting instructions. Sign up for an introductory class on how to use a sewing machine.  We will walk through the machine basics including threading, changing the needles, and making different types of stitches.  We'll finish up with some practice sheets so you feel comfortable with your newfound knowledge. We need an enthusiastic and creative team to:     assist with program planning     give feedback on the Teen collection     help make the space yours WHATâS IN IT FOR YOU?     An opportunity to learn new skills     A place to have fun and meet/work with new people     Earn community service hours Members must be in high school. Drop-ins are welcome, but registering helps me plan for snacks! Being able to commit to attending monthly meetings is preferred.
