The Innovation Academy Community Association (IACA) includes every student, parent, guardian, administrator, faculty, and staff member at IACS. Our mission is to enrich our children’s experience from their first day as a middle schooler through their high school farewell. We depend on the involvement and contributions of members like you to create, manage, and execute activities throughout the year that build strong bonds though community events. From a single volunteer experience to sitting on our board, there are hundreds of ways to get involved that suit every schedule and lifestyle. We encourage you to share your ideas and expertise to help make our students’ experience exceptional.

While most Board of Trustees meetings occur on the third Monday of the month, some meetings (*) are moved to a different Monday due to vacations and holidays.  All meetings will be held at the Innovation Academy Charter School (or virtually), and the public is welcome to attend. Meeting location will be posted in our main lobby entrance.  Specific agendas shall be posted in accordance with the requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Open Meeting Law. Per Massachusetts Open Meeting Law, public boards may allow time for public comment, as permitted by the chair.  The IACS Board welcomes public comment from members of the public at its Board Meeting pursuant to the following: Requests to make public comment should be sent to [email protected] at least 24 hours prior to the start of the scheduled meeting.   For spoken public comment, you must provide your full name, residential address, and the topic you plan to speak about.  Spoken public comments will be limited to 3 minutes. Written public comments should also contain your full name and residential address.  Written public comments submitted without a full name or residential address will be screened and may be declined by the board chair.   All public comment is subject to the approval of the board chair.
