Spanish Fun Program

This program is 45 minutes long. The room or space is colorful and decorated. We start the Program by dancing a Mexican song with the rhythm of the Mariachi music. The audience loves to see my beautiful Mexican dress. By learning and singing our Hola song, the class starts. Kids love to have fun with the parachute, they learn vocabulary by playing with it. I use puppets and engaging games to teach them the days of the week, the months of the year, and many more vocabulary. They play, dance, jump, and run following directions in Spanish to mention a few. This class is very active, with different activities to engage the kids. My puppet Lola is always hungry and she invites the audience to go to “El Mercado” and buy some food for her. Lola gives them a mexican bag and the audience pretend to buy food. Then, she asks the kids to give her food. This activity is great to teach them vocabulary. At the end of the program, we play with the Parachute and balls. The program is designed to be dynamic, energetic, interactive, and enjoyable. EVERY PROGRAM IS DIFFERENT, WITH NEW GAMES AND ACTIVITIES. Este programa tiene una duración de 45 minutos. La habitación o espacio es colorido y decorado. Comenzamos el Programa bailando una canción mexicana al ritmo de la música de Mariachi. Al público le encanta ver mi hermoso vestido mexicano. Al aprender y cantar nuestra canción Hola, la clase comienza. A los niños les encanta divertirse con el paracaídas, aprenden vocabulario jugando con él. Utilizo títeres y juegos atractivos para enseñarles los días de la semana, los meses del año y mucho más vocabulario. Juegan, bailan, saltan y corren siguiendo instrucciones en español, por mencionar algunos. Esta clase es muy activa, con diferentes actividades para involucrar a los niños. Mi títere Lola siempre tiene hambre e invita al público a ir a "El Mercado" y comprarle algo de comida. Lola les da una bolsa mexicana y el público finge comprar comida. Luego, les pide a los niños que le den comida. Esta actividad es genial para enseñarles vocabulario. Al final del programa, jugamos con el paracaídas y las pelotas. Adult D&D

Join our Dungeons & Dragons sessions for adults every Wednesday evening. How it works: Each month at the library, we explore one of several rotating Dungeons & Dragons worlds—each with its own distinct tone, setting, and genre. The first week of the month is a casual drop-in event focused on learning the game and creating characters that fit the current world. After that, we run three weeks of one-shot adventures, all set in the same setting for that month. While we encourage people to sign up for the full month, each adventure is self-contained—so it’s okay if you miss a session or can’t make it every week. There is no long-term campaign and no pressure to commit beyond the month. New to D&D? If you’re new to D&D, we recommend joining during the first week of a new month so there’s time to help you build a character and learn the basics. Due to the short time slots, we won’t have time to create new characters during the adventure weeks. Each month’s world brings a different genre—urban fantasy, steampunk, frontier survival, and more—so be sure to check the calendar. If one month isn’t your style, you’re always welcome to wait and join when the next setting rotates in. It’s a great way to explore new stories, build characters, and meet other local players in a low-pressure setting. Dice and character sheets provided if needed, though you are welcome to bring your own. This month's adventure: Terra Noctis Pop culture vibes: X-Files, Stranger Things, Dresden Files Terra Noctis, a modern fantasy D&D setting where magic and fantasy creatures have always been part of the world. Elves run coffee shops, orcs serve in the Coast Guard, and your neighbor might be a retired necromancer who runs a pawn shop. The world feels familiar, smartphones, streaming services, city buses, but it’s also shaped by rituals, wards, and ancient tombs hidden beneath gas stations. Magic is regulated like a public utility, and supernatural problems sometimes slip through the cracks. These games focus on urban fantasy, supernatural mystery, and a touch of folk horror. It’s a place where things don’t always go right, but professional adventurer guilds are a phone call away. This month will start with level 3 characters. Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Classes are vinyasa based with a dynamic blend of flowing sequences, conscious breathing, and functional movements. The goal is to challenge students, yet provide a meditative atmosphere, where emphasis on breathwork and a steady pace foster mental clarity and focus. While each class is infused with Bill's unique creativity, rest assured that every session prioritizes safety and is grounded in movements designed to cultivate strength, stability, and success. It's your time to nurture patience, deepen your mind-body connection, and embark on a journey of personal growth. *Please bring your own mat (required) and support blocks (if desired). About the Instructor Meet Bill Hennigan a lifelong Woburn resident, a seasoned yogi and retired professional and business owner who has dedicated years to perfecting his craft that will be leading our classes. As a certified RYT 200 vinyasa teacher, he imparts his wisdom through fluid movement and meaningful connection. Bill's aim is simple: to leave you feeling empowered and ready to tackle whatever comes next, recognizing the vital role of health and wellness in our individual journeys. With a profound understanding of the human body and its mechanics, Bill strikes a harmonious balance between strength training and mindfulness, honed over countless hours of personal experience, marked by a couple of tattoos and a refreshingly down-to-earth perspective on life. When he's not leading classes at the yoga studio or gym, Bill can be found immersing himself in the great outdoors or honing his skills in improv classes, always seeking opportunities to connect with others and embrace life's adventures. This program is sponsored by the Woburn Public Library Foundation. Please note: When someone does not show up for a program they are registered for, they are taking away an opportunity for another member of the community. Patrons who are registered for an event they cannot attend are asked to cancel their registration at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to show up for programs two (2) times without notice will be grounds for being waitlisted for 30 days. Patrons who arrive 5 minutes or more after the program start time will be considered no-shows.
