Come join us at the library as we explore a number of âmicroâ tabletop roleplaying games. 24/12 - a Xmas Eve Adventure For this month we are playing a game called 24/12 - A Xmas Eve Adventure. Created by Calvin Johns for the 2400 game system by Jason Tocci. In this Holiday themed mini-rpg you play as not-so-typical elves from the north pole. While your fellow elves are busy making toys and gifts for the world; you and your cobble of misfit elves get together every Christmas Eve to protect Santa from nefarious plots.  No experience is needed, all materials and dice will be provided for use. These games are designed for quick and easy play in a wide variety of genres, themes, and play styles. Sign ups are limited and on a first come first serve basis.  Registration is required. Silent Book Club is a fun way to meet like-minded people (if you want) and find great book recommendations (or not!) There's no assigned book, so no pressure to discuss or analyze anything. Just bring your reading glasses, and whatever great book you're reading at the moment, and immerse yourself in the joy of reading. Drop by our Reference Desk to check in, grab some book recommendations, and pick up a Silent Book Club punch card. Everyone who completes the SBC punch card gets a prize from the library! The first half hour is time to mingle and share what you're reading, or maybe just jump right in to your book. Then we will commence silent reading for an hour, with the last half hour slated for discussing your books or just to continue your reading. This 60 minute Yoga Flow class is ideal for beginners. It opens with some breath work and a gentle warm up followed by flowing poses for strengthening, stability and flexibility. Breathing and functional movement are focused on throughout the class. The flowing style leaves room for students to make choices that feel good for their bodies and weekly classes will likely have some variability. Because yoga is an individualized practice, participants are encouraged to focus on their own bodies and needs - to always do what feels good for them! It is always advised that participants consult with their medical provider prior to starting any new exercise regime. *Participants should bring their own mats, 2 blocks, water and if they wish a towel and/or a small pillow for comfort with positions. Come join in the fun and holiday cheer as the Woburn Public Library presents the Merry Minstrels' performing music, songs, and dance of Christmas and Winter in "Tis the Season - a Holiday Celebration in Song". The program will include songs and carols with origins in a variety of times and places as well as familiar favorites for all to Sing-Along.  The Merry Minstrels presently include Woburn residents Clare Hurley and Darlene Wigton; Marie Fagan from Wayland, Sheila Foley from Stoneham, John Chambers from Waltham; and Kathy Touzian from Belmont. The various instruments we play include guitar, accordion, flute, fiddle, ukulele, whistle, and bodhran, with four of us who are also vocalists.  For this 2025 Holiday program we will be joined by the Lexington History Museums Dancers who perform various historical dance styles. Summary: In Taisho-era Japan, kindhearted Tanjiro Kamado makes a living selling charcoal. But his peaceful life is shattered when a demon slaughters his entire family.
