The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will be preparing 2025 tax returns only. Please stop by the main librarians desk to register for an appointment and to pick up a tax intake form to complete before you arrive for your appointment. VITA volunteers will provide income tax assistance to people with incomes of $67,000 or less. No itemized deductions, business or self-employed income, or capital gains transactions will be accepted. You must bring proof of income, W-2, 1099 or SSI, a driver’s license or state identification, and Social Security cards for every family member being claimed. Homeowners claiming the property tax credit must bring their 2025 property tax statements for both winter and summer taxes. If you purchased health insurance through the Healthcare Marketplace and received advanced premium payments, you must bring form 1095-A.
