Each year CARE of Southeastern Michigan works with students and families to educate and implement substance use prevention in the lives of the individuals we serve. CARE holds weekly educational workshops and hosts various summer camps for school-aged kids. Leadership Camp activities help increase resiliency, self-esteem, and team building to empower students to be leaders in their communities. Students can expect a week of fun with special guest speakers. The mission of the Mount Clemens Community Coalition is to prevent and reduce substance use in our city through education and awareness activities. Our goal is to create a safe, healthy community by building and supporting strong families and neighborhoods. The coalition is comprised of community members and local leaders representing 12 sectors of the community who are committed to reducing drug abuse. Meets the first Wednesday of each month from 6-7:30 pm at Mount Clemens High School, 155 Case Ave, Mount Clemens.

A free, two-day virtual workshop for childcare providers who work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Topics include understanding children’s development, building self-esteem, problem solving, nurturing social/emotional development, and working in partnership with parents. Class runs 8/8/26 & 8/15/26 and participants must attend both days. Class participants will not be allowed to enter after 9:15 am on both days. The book, First Five Years, is FREE and mandatory.
