DATE: THURSDAY, AUGUST 21 TIME: 7 am - 8 am LOCATION: Kent District Library Grandville Community Room WHO: Businesses, Non-Profits, City Leaders and Community Leaders! Anyone that would like to make connections and learn more about the exciting things that are happening and the needs of the community.   The Grandville Community Leaders Forum meetings began in 2006. The purpose is to connect Community Leaders, Businesses and Non-Profit organizations. Learn what is happening in the community and ways that we can collaborate with each other! Come with news, needs, and ideas!  Also, feel free to invite others!

Our mission statement is designed to encompass all facets of being women.    The mission of Connected Chamber Women is to create connections between West Michigan Chambers and organizations. Meeting quarterly for women to enhance their business and personal relationships with opportunities to LAUGH - lighten our load, LEARN information to solve business problems and LAVISH ourselves with encouragement in celebrating our successes and each other. Hosted by the Byron Center Chamber of Commerce   Event Sponsor $250 One minute commercial to fellow attendees, decorate the table with business swag/promo materials (includes lunch). If you are interested in visiting or joining either one, please contact [email protected] The Chamber Referral Groups provide opportunities for its members to connect with other businesses and business leaders within the community. The purpose of the Leads Groups is to build relationships, share best business practices, and generate referrals. The emphasis is placed on building professional relationships with your fellow members and creating a solid network of referrals and resources for operating your business. Join us to share your story about your industry, education and how you give back in your community with local high school students.  You will then participate in a Speed Networking style session with the students where they can ask questions and learn more.   Here is some feedback from previous events:   JHS STUDENT:  ?The coffee talks were a great experience to talk to business people in our community. I enjoyed listening to their stories and what they do for a job, I also appreciated the advice that they gave us.? CHAMBER MEMBER:  ?Thanks for making this happen! It was great to talk with the students and the interactive format provided great opportunities to both talk and listen to the students!?   JENISON:  Tuesday September 30 From 8A - 9A Location:  Jenison High School    The Grandville Jenison Chamber is partnering with local Educators in both Jenison and Grandville Public Schools.  Our hope and desire is to create a unique partnership between local business and educational leaders to build a collaborative foundation for local students to explore numerous career pathways that lead to personal growth and local employment. ​Why is it a priority of the Grandville Jenison Chamber to Develop and Nurture Partnerships between Educators and Businesses?  Develop a positive relationship between the school and community businesses. Provide opportunities for students to gain knowledge about career paths. Provide the community with graduates who are knowledgeable of the available careers within West Michigan. Provide students with positive role models within our community.
