Join us and Lisa George for a class on Ageless Grace Neuroplasticity Exercises. The Ageless Grace Brain Health Program is based on consciously choosing to change the brain through physical movements similar to playful childhood activities that fired neurons and developed neural pathways from birth to mid-teens. All 21 Simple Tools for Lifelong Comfort and Ease can be practiced by almost anyone of any age or ability. The exercises are designed to be practiced seated, in order to stimulate the five primary functions of the brain (strategic planning, memory and recall, analytical thinking, creativity and imagination and kinesthetic learning) by doing unfamiliar movements, or creating new ways to do an activity that is already familiar. The movements are spontaneous and organic, with no need to learn any special choreography. Each of the brain-changing tools also focus on a primary physical skill necessary for lifelong optimal function (i.e. joint mobility, balance, spinal flexibility, upper body strength, coordination) - and all promote the “Three R’s” of Ageless Grace, the ability to respond, react and recover.

Kickoff your summer reading adventures on TADL Main's front lawn with community partners like:Born to Read;Challenge Island NW MI;Dolly Parton's Imagination Library;Girl Scouts MI Shore to Shore;Norte - bike tune-up station and bike decorating;TADL Youth Services - t-shirt decorating station and free lunch (11 - 12:30);Z93 and their vehicle.Magic shows!Don't forget about the magic shows (yes, plural!) happening at 11 am and 4 pm with A2 Magic's Jeff Wawrzaszek. Seating is limited, so we decided to have two shows and double the fun!If you haven't signed up yet for the Summer Reading Club, it's super easy via the Beanstack website or app (you can also do this in our Atrium area). Kids, don't forget to get your t-shirt in the Atrium, and stop by Youth Services for your reading logs, a photo op in front of our chalk mural, and to pick up lots of books!
