Trenton Public Schools will host a Secondary Teaching Hiring Event for Grades 9â12 on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Trenton Central High School, 400 Chambers St., Trenton. The district is seeking certified educators to fill secondary teaching vacancies across multiple school locations. High-need areas include science, social studies, mathematics, bilingual education, ESL and special education. The starting salary for these positions is $70,075. Prior registration is required. Candidates must currently hold a valid New Jersey Department of Education teacher certificate appropriate for a secondary (grades 9â12) position. Qualified applicants will be scheduled for interviews during the event. Registration closes Friday, March 20, 2026. Trenton Public Schools is excited to invite families, staff, students and community members to take part in shaping the future of our district through the Strategic Planning process. This three-part series of community meetings will bring the Trenton community together to reflect on where we are today, share ideas about where we want to go and help set the priorities that will guide the district in the years ahead. The process is facilitated by the New Jersey School Boards Association and will help inform the next Strategic Plan for Trenton Public Schools. The Strategic Planning process consists of three public community meetings, each focused on a key phase of planning: Reflect: Reviewing the state of our schools, including current strengths and challenges Reimagine: Developing a shared vision for the future of Trenton Public Schools Recalibrate: Identifying goals and objectives that will guide district action moving forward Community input gathered during these meetings will directly inform administrative action planning and the final Strategic Plan presented to the Board of Education. Meeting Dates Tuesday, April 21, 2026 Tuesday, May 19, 2026 Tuesday, June 30, 2026 Time: 6 p.m. (sign-in begins at 5:45 p.m.) Location: Trenton Central High School, cafeteria Participation in any or all meetings is encouraged.
