Drop your stuffie anytime on Monday, May 12th. Join Miss Ashley for an evening Storytime on Tuesday, May 13th to pick up your stuffie! You may also pick up the stuffies anytime on Tuesday, May 13th. Drop Off: Monday, May 12th anytime between 9AM to 8PMPick up: Tuesday, May 13th at 6:30PM for a Storytime with Miss Ashley (or anytime on May 13th) Register your stuffie by coming into the library and filling out the form. We promise to take extra special care of each of your stuffed friends. (No Children will be staying overnight in the library.)

This is the story of how Grosse Ile, for a brief time, became the most important 3.66 miles you’ve probably never heard of as the critical link for rail traffic on the CASO road. Our presenter, Gary Kadau, a long-time Grosse Ile resident, has been an active member of the Grosse Ile Historical Society for many years. He currently oversees the Historical Society properties which include the 1873 U.S. Customs House, the 'new' 1904 Michigan Central Depot, and the 1906 Detroit River Lighthouse. Gary frequently appears as a Train Conductor or Lighthouse Keeper, educating school children, adults, and tour groups about Grosse Ile's extensive history. Registration requested.
