This pilot project with St. Paul - Ramsey County Public Health brings in public health nurses and a community worker into our space where patrons can learn more about navigating health literacy, get referrals or make appointments for service providers, get testing done to identify health needs, connect with a health worker who can help build their own health knowledge and more. Public Health Nurses will be at the library in Maplewood on: Mondays 10-1 Tuesdays 11-2 Wednesdays 11-1

Family Storytime

Join us in-person for a fun program that includes books, songs, fingerplays, storytelling and movement activities to get kids fired up about reading while providing a strong foundation in early literacy skills. Appropriate for ages 2-5. No registration is required.

Come build and program a LEGO robot with Gopher STEAM. FIRST robotic coach and STEM teacher, Colin Kilbane will be bringing his LEGO Mindstorms kits and laptops to get kids excited about STEM and help promote FIRST robotics. You will use LEGO EV3 kits to build a roving robot, add sensors and program it using the EV3 classroom software. This workshop is for students entering 3rd grade and up. Attention Scouts! Building and programming this robot will help you complete the Scouting America Robotics Merit Badge and the Girl Scouts series of robotics badges. Best for kids entering 3rd grade and up.
