Storytime is an interactive learning opportunity for you and your child to enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and fun. These developmentally appropriate programs help your little one get ready for school and life by reading and playing. Recommended ages 0-5.  Storytime will be in Room 112 of the West 7th Community Center. The storytime will last 30-45 minutes. Families are invited to check out materials and play in the West 7th Library space afterwards.

Jody's Film Series Presents: We are the Champions Director: Nick Frew (Running time 28 min.) When was the last time you had the urge to chase a wheel of cheese down a steep hill? Well, it's a centuries-old tradition in Brockworth, England. Dubbed the most dangerous foot race ever. The cheese is going 80 mph. The runners are right behind it, leaping, rolling, sliding, bouncing, somersaulting, toward the waiting ambulances at the bottom. Winner gets the coveted title, the wheel of cheese and probably a broken leg. **Please note that the location for this film has temporarily changed to Hamline United Methodist Church as Merriam Park meeting rooms undergo renovation.  1514 Englewood Ave, St Paul, MN 55104 Enjoy the free film, snacks and post-film discussion facilitated by Jody. Chinese Calligraphy

Chinese calligraphy is the writing of Chinese characters as an art form, combining purely visual art and interpretation of the literary meaning. This class is geared toward adults, but interested teens are welcome. Supplies will be provided.
