Join us for our annual Fun(d)raiser at the Historic Andrew Peterson Farmstead. Navigating Minnesota's Paid Family and Medical Leave: What Employers Need to Know Tuesday, October 14 from 10:30AM-12:00PM Location: Maple Conference Room, across hall from Chamber office | 201 S Vine St. Minnesota's new Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program, which takes effect January 1, 2026. This session will help local employers understand their obligations and prepare for implementation of this state-run program that will impact Minnesota employers. Who Should Attend:  Business owners, HR professionals, payroll administrators, and anyone responsible for employee benefits and leave management. What You'll Learn: - Program overview, employer requirements, and employee eligibility under PFML - Premium rates, small business discounts, and private insurance vs. state plan options - Critical upcoming deadlines (October 2025 notifications, December 2025 employee notices) - Plan administrator responsibilities, reporting requirements, and compliance best practices Speakers: Kelly Dohm, Employment Law Attorney Partner | Melchert, Hubert, Sjodin Law Mick Hannafin, Business Unit President | CBIZ Tim Jopp, Owner | Legacy Health Insurance    Summary: Minnesota's PFML offers payments to employees for time away from work to care for themselves or a family member.
