Emerging Professionals hosts networking events to strengthen communication and leadership skills, support community involvement, and develop professional relations through networking and collaboration. For the 2026 fiscal year, EP strives to uphold the theme of "Seeding Connections, Cultivating Growth" to encourage our professionals to plant new connections at our networking lunches and to foster personal growth for business development purposes at our coffees.Who can join Emerging Professionals?Anyone! Whether youâre a Chamber member or a non-member, we feel this organization is for everyone! Our only requirement is that you must live or work in Johnson County or surrounding areas, share an interest in meeting other emerging professionals, and are willing to contribute to the community and learn from professional leaders positively.Membership requires an annual fee of $25/year as a Chamber member or $50/year as a non-member. We ask that all members strive to uphold the EP mission and goals through active participation and commitment to the program.

The presentation of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., High School Community Service Award is an integral part of the University of Central Missouri's annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, held each January. These awards are presented jointly by the Greater Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the UCM Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity. The 2025 awards will be presented Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Chamberâs MLK Community Service Awards Luncheon at TBD.
