Taught by Patrick Mangan, from the MSU extension office.  Soils, botany, ornamentals, vegetables, trees, rodent control, weeds and IPM.    This class will run 8 weeks from February 23rd - April 13th. Classes will be on Mondays from 2-4 p.m.    Registration is required and space is limited. Stop by the front desk to register or call 406-883-8225.  There is no cost for the course if you will use recycled binders and will be sharing text books. If you prefer new materials, binders are $20.00 and textbooks are $60.00. Otherwise you will receive a used binder, and textbooks can be checked out weekly.

Kelly Minear with FLBS will be here to present a lake related program for all ages with specific activities for K - 6th grade.   We will explore different types of maps of Flathead Lake and we will discuss what we can learn from each. Learn how scientists at the Bio Station use maps to help keep Flathead Lake and the surrounding watershed healthy. You'll even have the opportunity to create your own map of Flathead Lake or the surrounding watershed.

Caroline McDonald from the Lake County Conservation District will be coming to the Polson Library to give a program on septic maintenance. This program focusses on routine maintenance, not system replacement or major repairs. Come and get questions that you may have answered during this class. This event will be taking place in the Community Room at the Polson Library. This space offers a hearing loop system, providing direct sound to telecoil-enabled hearing aids and cochlear implants for enhanced clarity.

There are no driving tests or exams. While this class is designed for drivers 50+, ALL drivers are welcome. There is a class materials fee for AARP Members and Non-Members.
