The West Nebraska Arts Center, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and the National Endowment for the Arts is pleased to present Here, There and Everywhere by Barbara Kuxhausen & David Sneesby. The reception is on Thursday, October 30th, 5pm – 7pm. This is a free event and open to the public. This reception will have live music provided by Prairie Fiddlers. Refreshments and appetizers will be served for all who attend. In the Main Gallery Barbara Kuxhausen and David Sneesby will be displaying wildlife and landscapes through the medium of watercolor. By creating these images they are chasing emotions, reimaging scenery, and enjoying the fusions color and water make. Don’t miss live music brought to us by the Prairie Fiddlers.

The West Nebraska Arts Center, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and the National Endowment for the Arts is pleased to present The Magic of Christmas. The reception is on Thursday, October 30th, 5pm – 7pm. This is a free event and open to the public. Refreshments and appetizers will be served for all who attend. The Magic of Christmas is a group show that was open to community members. All media and techniques were welcomed. This show is for all the creatures found in folklore and fantasies. The tiny workers that help Santa or the little sock thieves that are always hidden yet always suspected. Come scope out our magical world in the Bronson gallery. We thought this would be a fun show to bring out the holiday spirit and keep the magic alive at the same time. This show will have collections and original artwork.

The 17th Annual Warrior Run is a fundraising event to promote our organization and is a great way to support our veterans. Registration will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Legacy of the Plains Museum.  We have a small change to the lineup.  The 10K race will start around ......More

The 17th Annual Warrior Run is a fundraising event to promote our organization and is a great way to support our veterans. Registration will start at 9:00 a.m. at the Legacy of the Plains Museum.  We have a small change to the lineup.  The 10K race will start around 10:00 a.m. and the 5K will start about 10 minutes after that.  The Little Warrior Run will not happen this year. Packets can be picked up from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31st at the Legacy of the Plains Museum. Over 99% of the sponsorship and registration fees will go directly to helping veterans and military families here in the Wyobraska area, with the rest going to operating expenses. Deadline for early registration is on or before October 24, 2025.  There will be a $10.00 fee, adults only, for late registrations.  Early registrations are guaranteed shirts, and extras will be available for sale.  Both the entry fee and signed entry form are needed to enter the race.  Please have your entry form and fee sent to Warrior Run, PO Box 461, Scottsbluff, NE  69363.  Make all checks payable to the Warrior Run.
