SAT School Day – Wednesday, March 25 Bow High School will administer the SAT (State Assessment) on Wednesday, March 25 for all juniors. Please review the important information below to ensure you are prepared for test day. A reminder email with assigned testing room will be sent on Monday, March 23. Test Day Schedule 7:30 AM – Arrival at BHS 7:45 AM – Report to assigned testing room 8:00 AM – Exam begins (per College Board digital testing policies, late arrivals cannot be admitted once testing has started) Test Format - The SAT is a digital test taken on your Chromebook using the Bluebook app. Sections include: Reading & Writing ·         Module 1 (32 minutes) ·         10-minute break ·         Module 2 (32 minutes) Math ·         Module 1 (35 minutes) ·         10-minute break ·         Module 2 (35 minutes) Essay ·         10-minute break before the essay ·         Essay section (50 minutes) Most students will finish by 11:30AM SAT Test Day Checklist Bring with you: ·         Fully charged school-issued Chromebook ·         Power cord or portable charger (outlet access is not guaranteed) ·         Calculator (optional) – or use the built-in Desmos calculator in Bluebook ·         Water bottle ·         Small snack for breaks ·         External mouse (optional)         Provided at the testing room: ·         Pencils or pens and scratch paper Electronic Device Policy College Board testing rules require that cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and other electronic devices are not allowed during testing, including during breaks. All phones and electronic devices must be powered off and stored away as directed by the testing proctor before the exam begins. If a device is accessed, visible, or makes noise at any time during testing or breaks, students will be dismissed from the exam, and their scores may be canceled according to College Board policy.
