Bewitched Acres is offering three individuals the opportunity to enroll in a private hands-on beekeeping course. This course is designed for people who are interested in learning to keep bees for themselves. You will receive one-on-one instruction from a beekeeper while learning how to manage honey bees throughout the season. You will learn how to grow a hive, produce honey, and manage a queen. You will also learn how to manage the cluster for the greatest chance of winter survival. This program is designed for people above 18 years old. Participants will be provided with their own beekeeper suits, beekeeping tools, and educational materials. When registering, please select your size so we can provide the appropriate suit for you. Experience Lucknow like never before in this immersive theater performance! Opening up Lucknow is a fun, fast-paced show that allows the audience to delve into the life of a servant in the past. You’ve just been hired to work at Lucknow Mansion for the well-known Plant family. Join the Head Housekeeper for your orientation and tour as you prepare for the Plants’ return home from their travels. As you make your way through the house, the Head Housekeeper will give you tasks to complete to test your skills and ensure you are right for the job. Throughout the performance, the audience will participate in tasks ranging from mental puzzles to fun games. Play written by Debbi Finkelstein. Experience this well-loved program, returning in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Castle Preservation Society.  Enjoy high tea on the lawn of Lucknow Mansion, where timeless elegance meets breathtaking views. Enjoy a selection of teas from Commune-a-Tea, paired with an assortment of pastries and savory treats, all served in the magnificent setting of this historic estate. A limited selection of gluten-free options will be available during this event, along with a vegan dessert. Space is limited be sure to register to reserve your spot. We are partnering with Moultonborough Public Library and the Friends of the Library to bring you a delightful evening with local poets at Castle in the Clouds! Mingle with poets over hors d’oeuvres and drinks while taking in the beautiful views from the Winnipesaukee Room, then hear poets Rodger Martin and Dennis Caldwell speak about their writing and poem discovery process. Following the poets’ comments, there will be an open mic opportunity to present your own short prose or poem. You will also have the opportunity to purchase books directly from the authors and have them signed. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. Join us for a free day of exploration at Castle in the Clouds for teachers and their families! Start off your day at a breakfast reception and meet our Education Team. Learn about our school programs, tour Lucknow Mansion for free, and get an exclusive sneak peek at what a Castle in the Clouds field trip looks like! Bring a picnic lunch or dine at The Carriage House, and then end the day with a guided hike just for teachers and their families. All teachers will receive a gift bag, too! This program begins at 10 am in the Winnipesaukee Room on the second floor of the Carriage House. You will receive your free self-guided tour admission when you check in. A special thank you goes out to Winnipesaukee Bay Gulls for providing breakfast!
