Refresh your mind and body with yoga while looking over Lake Winnipesaukee! An experienced local yoga instructor will lead enthusiasts of all levels in yoga. Relish the tranquillity that comes from doing yoga with the beautiful view of the lake that our Winnipesaukee Room has to offer.  Remember to bring your mat and water bottle with you. Whether you have never done yoga before or if you practice it regularly, you will find relaxation and enjoyment in this class geared to all ages and skill levels. Come join us for this open meeting of C-TAG! The Castle Teacher Advisory Group is looking to bring in new perspectives and new members. Come join us as we discuss the Castle Curriculum and brainstorm new school and teacher programming. If the weather is nice, those able to join in person will have the opportunity to test out a brand new field trip and offer feedback that will be used in creation of the final program. Enjoy an in-depth exploration of the art of watercolor styles and techniques!This workshop will illuminate and provide inspiration for the fine art of watercolor painting. Participants will practice various techniques using professional media with Carole Shea, an experienced watercolor artist/instructor. This informative workshop is held in the Winnipesaukee Room amid spectacular views of the lake and mountains. This class is intended for adults. Space is limited to 12 people to give Carole an opportunity to interact with everyone. Pre-registration is required. All ticket sales are final no refunds, transfers to other days, or exchanges. The workshop is split into two sessions, with a break for lunch in between. The morning session will include the history and art of watercolor, different paint mediums, types of papers, brushes, and equipment including what to consider when working outside, ‘en plein air’, as opposed to inside. Participants are welcome to bring a packed lunch, or you may choose to enjoy Winter Lunch in the Carriage House Restaurant. If you do choose to visit the restaurant, please reserve the 12:30pm seating here. Please note: you must make a reservation, as the restaurant does not accept walk-ins for Winter Lunch. Following the lunch break, Carole will lead a demonstration and then invite participants to experiment for themselves with a range of watercolor mediums and painting techniques. All supplies, paint, paper, brushes, palettes, etc. will be provided. Participants can take home their technique samples along with a watercolor palette of paint colors for future inspiration and exploration.

This workshop, led by experienced beekeeper Samantha Stevens, is perfect for all experience levels. You will decorate wooden hive structures for bees to inhabit (including our resident Castle bees). In appreciation of your work on their hives, the bees will provide a small goody bag for you to take home.
