Calling all pet owners! Enter your pet into the Peterborough Pet Gala happening at Depot Park on August 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM!  PAW-GEANT: Time get creative, put on a costume (optional), and get ready to show off your pet on the red carpet! Judges will score all contestants to select the 2025 Peterborough Pet of the Year. The champion Pet of the Year will recieve a prize basket of local goodies and bragging rights. Pets must be a resident of Peterborough to be eligible but all are welcome to participate! Judges will also award Best Costume and Runner-up for Pet of the Year. PARADE: A short pet parade through Town starts at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to participate - no registration required. NOTICE OF MEETING ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT   Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Selectboard’s Room of the Peterborough Town House.   Case No. 1253 Janet (Jill) Shaffer Hammond: A request for a Variance to build a new home in the same location as an existing home to be demolished. This is a replacement of a nonconforming building and is proposed to be constructed taller than what is currently built as regulated by the zoning ordinance in Article VI, Section 245-30.1A. The property is located at 9 Vine Street, Parcel No. U017-104-000, in the General Residence District.   Anyone needing assistance to attend this meeting should contact the Office at (603) 924-8000 x 104 one week prior to the scheduled meeting date.
