Alzheimer's Café at the NHSPCA

An Alzheimer’s Café offers a community setting where people living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other memory issues and their caregivers gather, socialize and enjoy conversation. Our location offers the fun and unique opportunity to see some of our resident animals and have possible visits from owned or adoptable animals as well. This is a fun social event that will take place on the second Thursday of each month between 12:30pm and 2:00pm in our Training Room on the first floor of the Learning Center. Space is limited and groups should contact us before planning to attend. There is no fee to attend. Masks are optional. If someone in your party is feeling unwell, we kindly request that you stay home and plan to come for the next Café. This helps protect the vulnerable population that visit our Café as well as our staff and volunteers. Space is limited.Questions – please email Jill Sloan at [email protected] Waiver: I recognize that in conjunction with my attendance at the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA), I and members of my party will be in contact with and may be allowed to hold and pet animals. I understand that despite all precautions made, there is a chance that I or members of my party may contract a disease or illness by handling the animals. I further understand that there is a chance that there is a risk of sustaining a scratch or bite while handling animals. I understand that the above is illustrative of the types of risks involved in participating in programs at the NHSPCA, but is in no way a complete list of possible risks. By registering to attend, I do hereby absolutely and unconditionally release and discharge the NHSPCA, including its employees, successors, assigns, directors, officers and agents from and against any and all claims, obligations and liabilities of any nature relating to or arising out of my or any member of my party’s participation with the NHSPCA Alzheimer’s Café program.
