The Osprey is a 37′ pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible. Are you just getting into birding or need a refresher? Then spend the day with Director Brett Ewald in the field learning the basics! This all-encompassing workshop combines in the field experience and id tips with discussions on bird families, occurrence/migration, optics, field guides, backyard birding/gardening and more. We’ll visit several local hotspots to take in warblers, kingbirds, shorebirds, terns, and other early migrants. Geared towards beginners and those wishing to improve their knowledge and appreciation of birds and birding, helping you take it to the next level! We don’t pre-set an itinerary but will visit those parts of Cape May that regularly hold good numbers of birds at this time of year. Final location decisions will be made by the leader, based on local knowledge and conditions at the time. Because of the inherent dynamic nature of birding, we do not pre-set an exact itinerary but will visit those parts of Cape May County that regularly hold good numbers of birds. We explore the coastal saltmarsh of Cape May from Cape Island Creek to the Wildwoods and view the natural wonders of historic Cape May Harbor. The Osprey is a 37′ pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible.
