This special tour will celebrate the holidays in a way only Cape May can. We'll make stops to see beautiful holiday decor, sample special holiday food items, and revel in the joy season. Your knowledgeable local tour guide will lead you through the historic streets of Cape May, stopping to sample delicious local cuisine, share stories from our rich past, and share fun facts and photo ops along the way. At each culinary location you'll sample a specialty food item. In some cases, our partners have developed a customized, off-menu treat and special discounts for a return visit just for Cape May Food Tours. We'll stop at five to six locations on each tour including a variety of cuisines, from savory to sweet.

Offered on three Saturday nights in December, Cape May MAC launched this evening walking tour in 1974 and ever since it has been a highlight of the Christmas season in Victorian Cape May, America's only National Historic Landmark City. Stroll along gaslit streets and visit homes, inns, B&Bs, churches and hotels, most within walking distance of each other, to see lovely interiors decorated for the holidays. This self-guided walking tour, centered in a 3/4-square-mile area of the Historic District, is Cape May’s longest running Christmas tour and Cape May MAC’s largest annual fundraiser. Most properties are clustered within a 20-minute walk in the Historic District with some just a few minutes from each other, and that makes walking the most efficient way to see the most properties with the least time spent waiting. Wear your most comfortable walking shoes, dress in layers, and feel the holiday merriment as you explore participating properties on foot in Cape May's Historic District.

Tour maps and wristbands must be picked up in advance of the tour. They will be available Friday 9am-5pm or Saturday (tour day) 9am-7pm at the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington Street in the Hill House business office.
