It’s simple: bring a puzzle from home (please make sure they are in good condition and no pieces are missing) to swap with your fellow puzzle enthusiasts! You might make a new friend in the process. Puzzles for all ages and of all sizes accepted. Please don’t bring more than 3 puzzles with you for swapping. This is a swap, not a donation – if you don’t intend to take a puzzle back, please do not leave any.

Join local author Oren Schott as he discusses his new book, “Verisi Millitude,” an adventure saga about a group of four unlikely companions on a quest for gold. Oren will take questions from the audience and copies of his book will be on sale as well. Oren Schott was raised and lives in New Jersey. He has a degree from Ithaca College, and completed the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. Oren is part-owner of SchottNYC, where he worked for 18 years. This is his first book.

In this interactive program, a museum educator will guide participants through the Vietnam War Gallery and explore one of the longest and most complex conflicts in American history. Participants will learn about the evolution of military technology, changing warfare tactics, and the unique challenges faced by Marines during the Vietnam War. It’s a powerful opportunity to experience the Vietnam War through the lens of the Marine Corps without leaving your classroom or home. Madeline Fanta has been a Distance Learning Specialist at the National Museum of the Marine Corps for four years. She presents engaging virtual tours that bring Marine Corps history to life for students, educators, and audiences across the country. Madeline holds a deep, lifelong passion for history, especially military history, and is dedicated to making the stories of Marines accessible, meaningful, and inspiring for all learners.
