If you have always wanted to write your own novel but aren’t sure how to start, we have the club for you! Hosted by Hackettstown’s own Eric Matluck (author of The Judges and What’s in Hope’s Back Pocket), join other aspiring writers in our group designed to help, inspire, and coach future novelists. Whether you have an idea in your head that you just want to put to paper or you are just beginning to collect your thoughts, you are welcome to participate. Due to the nature of the program, space is limited so please only register if you plan to attend. This program is suitable for adults and teens 16+.

The purpose of this workshop is to educate families who have a loved one with a significant disability about the importance of planning for the individual’s future support. Planned Lifetime Assistance Network of NJ (PLAN|NJ) will guide families in this legal and estate planning and life-long support process. This session will address future planning issues such as independent living supports estate planning, legal and financial protections. Topics include how to implement a future life plan for people with disabilities, Guardianship and Alternatives to Guardianship, Special Needs Trusts, and ABLE accounts. Join Amelia as she instructs you on needle felting a summer sky scene, from clouds to sunshine to stars. Needle felting is a method of felt crafting that can be utilized with (dry felting) or without water (wet felting). All that is needed is a notched needle, wool roving, and a soft cushion to catch your needle. For this workshop, we will be going through what is called “wool painting,” a two-dimensional wool project where we will use felt sheets and embroidery hoops to create our finished piece. Amelia is a freelance illustrator who is looking to share her journey of working with textile artwork, specifically needle felting. This program is for adults and teens 16+. This program is made possible by a grant from the Warren County Division of Cultural & Heritage Affairs.
