Please join us as we welcome Miss Bee for a Wiggle & Giggle playgroup! Every class begins with our Hello song. Our 45-minute mixed age classes are crafted with fun in mind. The first 30 minutes of each class students engage in story time, music, and movement with traditional and original children’s songs. We use puppets, scarves, streamers, parachutes, bubbles, shakers, and other instruments during classes. The last 15 minutes of class is dedicated to play through exploration and socialization. Children will play with each other, toys, and explore independently while their grownup steps back and observes.

Join us as we bring back Paper Heart Puppets for their amazing Cardboard Kingdom show – Four original stories, brought to life using nothing but cardboard and the power of your imagination. With help from the audience, puppeteer Brad Shur transforms simple cardboard shapes into elaborate puppet characters, then brings them to life right before your eyes. Puppeteer, puppet builder and arts educator Brad Shur is the founder and lead artist of Paper Heart Puppets. Brad began performing as a student at the Rhode Island School of Design. While earning a degree in film, he was a regular performer at late night puppet slams and with Big Nazo Puppets.  From there, Brad went on to tour nationally with Wood and String Puppet Theatre and Vermont Puppetree. As a freelance puppet builder he created puppets for American Idol, Dolly Parton’s Dollywood amusement park and many theaters and other performers. In 2009, he became the Resident Artist at Puppet Showplace Theater in Brookline, Massachusetts where he served as the lead teaching artist and touring puppeteer for eight years.

All are welcome to join us for a children’s magic show with returning favorite, Dennis Thomas. Dennis Thomas is a full-time, professional NJ magician. For the past 25+ years, he has specialized in entertaining children between the ages of 4 and 9 with his fun-filled magic shows.  One of the most talented magicians in NJ, Dennis has performed his educational-themed magic shows at numerous Libraries and Early Learning Centers in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York areas. That’s not to mention the many Birthday Party shows he’s performed at various homes and restaurants.

Join us as we welcome local artist Angel Thompson, who will lead a Junk Journal Workshop. A junk journal is a hand bound book made from mixed and found paper. They can be used as a diary, an art journal, or a scrapbook and they make a wonderful, personalized gift. In this workshop participants will explore different kinds of paper while choosing pages for their junk journal, then learn a simple bookbinding technique to bind them into book form. Once their book is completed, basic art supplies will be available if participants would like to begin filling their pages with art.
