The Camden County Board of Commissioners is offering a supportive and informative series designed specifically for family caregivers. âStress Busting for Family Caregiversâ provides a welcoming space to learn practical tools for managing stress while connecting with others who understand the challenges of caregiving. Held on select dates from April through July at the Camden County Library System in Voorhees, these sessions focus on helping participants better understand how stress impacts both the body and mind. Attendees will build problem-solving skills for everyday situations and practice simple, effective stress management techniques. The program may include guided breathing, meditation, imagery, art, and other relaxation strategies aimed at improving overall well-being. Offered in a hybrid format, caregivers can join in person or virtually, making it accessible for a variety of schedules and needs. This series encourages caregivers to take time for themselvesâoffering not just helpful resources, but also a sense of community, connection, and renewal.

CHPL welcomes the return of writing instructor Ty Drago, the author of more than a dozen novels in various genres and for various audiences from middle school to adult. He is also the founder, publisher, and managing editor of ALLEGORY (www.allegoryezine.com), a biannual online magazine of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. About the Course:   Got a novel in you?    âNovel Writing 101â is a ten-week course that takes you step-by-step through the novel-writing process.  Discover what kind of writer you are, a âplotterâ or a âpantser.â  Learn different approaches for outlining your novel, how to build characters and the worlds they live in, how to set the pace, the story arc, and how to author a compelling and satisfying ending. Practice writing action scenes, suspense scenes, romance scenes, and more.  Share your work with your fellow students to receive critique and criticism.  Get tips on establishing and sticking to a writing regiment, dealing with writerâs block, and managing distractions.  And, finally, learn how to edit your novel and submit it to literary agents or publishers or publish it on your own.  This course is informative and fun, but itâs also a commitment.  Be ready to write.    All classes will be held in either the Half Conference Center. The Camden County Library system will be holding monthly Art for Adults with Disabilities events at different library locations throughout Camden County.  Run by the Mullica Hill Art Center, it is designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each session participants will learn how to work in media including watercolor, oil, clay, and oil or chalk pastels. Registration for the participant is required, but those who wish to attend do not need to have a library card to register.
