Just ask Paul Thorn, who’s spent three decades turning soulful grooves and small syllables into songs that pack a big wallop. Maybe he learned the power of minimalism from his years as a pro boxer; maybe it just comes naturally. The Vineland Historical & Antiquarian Society is sponsoring a bus trip to the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia where the Vineland Historical Society's Women's Ballot Box is featured in "The Declaration's Journey" exhibit.   Tickets will go on sale to the public May 16, 2026, and it's anticipated it will sell out quickly.    The ticket price includes: round trip bus fare driver tip general admission to the Museum of the American Revolution  donation to VHAS Lunch is on your own. Enjoy a self-guided tour through the museum and explore Philadelphia as well, until the bus leaves at 4:30 pm. Join CU Maurice River for an engaging and informative program on dragonflies presented by CU Maurice River Trustee and Naturalist Tony Klock. This session will explore the fascinating life cycle, behaviors, and ecological importance of these vibrant aerial hunters. Often admired for their beauty and dexterity on the wing, dragonflies are also powerful indicators of healthy wetlands and waterways. As highly efficient aquatic and terrestrial predators, they play an important role in keeping insect populations, including mosquitoes, in balance. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how dragonflies fit into healthy ecosystems while also exploring ways you can help protect and provide habitat for these magnificent creatures.   Following the presentation, participants will take part in a hands-on container pond workshop to create a small water feature that supports dragonflies and other beneficial wildlife. Each participant will receive native aquatic plants and guidance on building a simple, starter wildlife-friendly habitat that can thrive even in a small yard. Participants should bring their own watertight container, approximately 15 gallons in size; suggested materials include plastic, galvanized steel, or rubber. During the workshop, attendees will add organic materials and aquatic plants to each container while discussing basic setup and maintenance techniques. Attendees will leave with a completed starter container pond, practical tips for creating and maintaining wildlife-friendly spaces, and a deeper appreciation for the biodiversity that can flourish right outside our doors. Participants may wish to bring note-taking supplies. Don't forget to bring your container!

Come to Bellview Winery for its first Zumba Wine Down Wednesday on June 24 from 6 to 8 pm. Class will be held out on the vineyard lawn, or if there is inclement weather class will be moved to the veranda. Class is welcome to all levels and will be instructed by Tonja.  A ticket is $25 per person which grants you access to a one-hour Zumba class and  your first glass of wine, mocktail, or cold brew coffee. Please arrive by 5:45pm to get set up and be ready for class at 6 pm. Enjoy an hour of wine and social hour once class is finished.   Don’t forget to bring a towel and a bottle of water.  Tickets do not have to be picked up, when you arrive please give your name to check into class.  Ticket sales end Tuesday June 23.
