This training is a one-hour presentation delivered by public health and mental health professionals. Participants review the impact of the opioid epidemic as well as relevant state policies and data pertaining to naloxone and harm reduction. Participants will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of opioid use disorder and opioid overdose as well as how to respond to suspected opioid overdoses and administer naloxone. Participants will receive a free Narcan kit. This program is administered by the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School - Division of Addiction Psychiatry.

For 250 years, the United States Marine Corps has served honorably in every clime and place. Founded on November 10, 1775, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Marines have fought from the shores of Tripoli to the valleys of Afghanistan â always the most ready when the nation is least ready, Americaâs 9-11 force, as we like to say. Marines always answer the call of the Nation â distinguishing themselves in battles at Belleau Wood, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, the Chosin Reservoir, Hue City, Fallujah, and Marjah. The same fighting spirit that led Marines then thrives in our Marines today. On any given day, nearly 38,000 Marines are forward deployed around the globe, enabling the Corps to be first on scene, first to help, first to contain a brewing crisis, and if required to do so, first to fight anywhere for as long as it takes. Marines stand always ready.Coming from all walks of life, Marines are forged by the fires recruit training, BOOT CAMP, in San Diego for those west of the Mississippi, and at the venerable Parris Island on the South Carolina coast for patriots east of the Mississippi. That transformation takes everyday citizens and thoroughly indoctrinates them in love of corps and country, with problem-solving skills and a willingness to win against any adversary. No matter their ranks, Marines stay true to the uncompromising standards found in their core values of honor, courage, and commitment, and those values can help a person be successful outside the corps as well. Itâs a proven exercise promoting balance and preventing falls, relieving depression, Parkinson's disease, dementia and reversing disease progression in osteoarthritis. It also helps with insomnia, hypertension, and fibromyalgia. Itâs often referred as âMeditation in Motionâ. In this session, Dr. Gang Huang will lead a hands-on session to work on Tai Chi fundamentals such as joints health, standing meditation, weight shifting and balance, and Tai Chi walking. Dr. Gang Huang is one of the formal disciples of Master Yang Jun, who is the direct descendent (sixth-generation) of Yang Cheng Fu and of Yang Lu Chan, the creator of Yang Style Tai Chi. Gang has learned Yang style from Masters like Yang Jun, Wang Hanrong, etc. and also Chen style from Chen Bing, Chen Zhenglei, and Chen Yu. He is an authorized instructor of Yang Family Tai Chi Association and is currently teaching Tai Chi classes in Bridgewater. He has introduced Tai Chi to many folks since 2014.
