As we continue to move forward through the referendum process, Willingboro Public Schools is carefully examining how our schools are structured to best serve our students and families. We are currently experiencing a steady increase in student enrollment, which has resulted in overcrowded classrooms in several of our schools. This growth reinforces the importance of thoughtful planning, transparent communication, and strategic decision-making to ensure that our facilities, programs, and resources continue to meet the evolving needs of our community. Based on a thorough review of current enrollment data, the district is proposing a potential realignment of school grade bands. This proposal is designed to better reflect actual class sizes and student population trends while enhancing the overall educational experience for all students. Through this realignment, we aim to: Optimize class composition and balance class sizes Improve resource allocation across schools Ensure more consistent teacher workloads Provide targeted support where it is most needed Create clearer and more effective progression pathways for students Additionally, this approach will allow schools to be more intentional with their spacesâsupporting opportunities such as calming rooms, STEM environments, media and broadcasting programs, and expanded services for specialized student populations.
