Isaiah Hughes, a Willingboro High School alumnus and fourth-year medical student, will return to WHS to serve as a guest workshop host and lead a medical career exposure workshop modeled after a successful program initiated at UC San Diego, with the long-term goal of establishing a local chapter in partnership with Cooper Hospital and a participating high school. About the Workshop Students enrolled in the Allied Health program will engage in hands-on, interactive learning experiences focused on orthopedic-related fields, including: Casting techniques Suturing demonstrations Simulated procedures using saw bones In addition, students will have the opportunity to interact with a range of healthcare professionals, including: Orthopedic surgeons Surgical technologists Physician assistants Physical therapists Other medical professionals This workshop is designed to provide meaningful exposure to healthcare careersРђћparticularly for students from communities that may have limited access to specialized medical resources. As both a WHS alumnus and future physician, Mr. Hughes is committed to giving back to his school community by inspiring and guiding students who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and healthcare. We are proud to support initiatives that connect our students with real-world experiences and alumni who exemplify leadership, service, and excellence.
