Description: Drive along Hyde Park Road, stopping at various locations.  Walk around ski basin (10,350 feet in elevation) Bring a sack lunch. Join us and our City and County Open Space partners for a birding adventure! Learn how to identify common species and the best locations around the city to spot our feathered friends during a roughly one-mile walk around the park or open space. You can practice using binoculars of your own or we will loan you a pair, along with a field guide. Foothills and Petroglyph walks include moderate hiking. Beginning and experienced birders of all ages are welcome! Seated and stationary birding will also be available.  The group will leave from the parking area at the beginning of the event – please arrive at the posted start time. Facilities: Restrooms at Visitor’s Center. Vault toilets off junction of South and North Loops.  We will make a stop at this location.
