Join us and our City and County Open Space partners for a birding adventure! Learn how to identify common species and the best locations around the city to spot our feathered friends during a roughly one-mile walk around the park or open space. You can practice using binoculars of your own or we will loan you a pair, along with a field guide. Foothills and Petroglyph walks include moderate hiking. Beginning and experienced birders of all ages are welcome! Seated and stationary birding will also be available.  The group will leave from the parking area at the beginning of the event – please arrive at the posted start time. Bosque Del Apache NWR Festival of the Cranes Meeting Location: South Valley Railrunner Parking lot, Camino del Tren Avenue.  Click here for map:  Bernalillo County/South Valley Rail Runner Station Parking Description: Drive along South Loop, then North Loop, stopping at various locations along the way and then short walks. Facilities: Restrooms at Visitor’s Center. Vault toilets off junction of South and NorthLoops.  We will make a stop at this location.
