The Hoag Music Series is held at the Hoag Library in Albion, New York from March to December. This free-to-attend concert series is aimed at bringing unique music experiences to Orleans County, from artists who do not frequently perform here.  Django Klumpp is a versatile musician with expertise in classical guitar. He completed a masters degree in performance and literature from Eastman School of Music under instruction by Dr. Nicholas Goluses, and holds two bachelor degrees from Mansfield University in both music performance and music technology, where he studied under guitarist Dr. Eric Carlin. Django is an experienced performer, having performed multiple public solo recitals, chamber ensemble showcases, and concert presentations with an orchestra. Chinese-Canadian harpist Sunshine Quan currently resides in Rochester NY, where she is pursuing a DMA degree in Harp Performance at the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Professor Kathleen Bride. Since she arrived in the United States in 2021, Sunshine has appeared regularly with ensembles including the Rochester Philharmonic, The Syracuse Orchestra, Binghamton Philharmonic, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Fenimore Chamber Orchestra, New York State Ballet, Cordancia Chamber Orchestra, and beyond.  Both Sunshine and Django, having met as peers at Eastman School of Music, have sought to pursue more chamber music endeavors and thus have formed a harp and guitar duo as of 2022. Together, they have performed throughout the Rochester region, and they plan on sharing many more performance experiences in order to spread both the joyous and beautiful sound of the harp and guitar, and to highlight the lesser-known composers and works of music for the instrument combo. This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council of the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by GO ART!
