On Wednesday, November 13, 2025, Senator Lea Webb will host a Cortland County Veterans Resource Fair at the Homer American Legion, located at 63 South Main Street, Homer, NY 13077, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
This free event will connect veterans, active-duty service members, and their families with vital resources, programs, and local organizations that support health, housing, benefits, and overall well-being.
The NYS Comptroller’s Office will be on-site to assist attendees in searching for unclaimed funds. This valuable service helps individuals recover money from dormant accounts and other financial sources. Centro will be on-site to assist eligible veterans in obtaining a complimentary bus pass, ensuring access to reliable transportation services. Dapper Rascal Studio will be donating free haircuts to the veteran community. PAWS of CNY will be attending with therapy dogs. Cortland Guthrie will be providing free flu shots and blood pressure checks. Community partners will provide information on healthcare, mental health, housing assistance, and other services.
“The Veterans Resource Fair is about ensuring our veterans and their families have direct access to the care, benefits, and support they deserve,” said Senator Lea Webb. “We owe it to those who have served to make sure they’re not navigating these systems alone. By bringing services under one roof, we’re helping make those connections easier and showing our deep appreciation for their continued contributions to our communities.”
