Shows are Friday November 14th and Saturday November 15th at 7:30pm and Sunday November 16th at 2pm. Tickets are $20.00 per guest and can be purchased online or at the door. “Trumbo” tells the powerful story of Dalton Trumbo, who was blacklisted during the McCarthy era for refusing to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) about his political beliefs and alleged Communist affiliations. The play draws directly from Trumbo’s personal letters, revealing his wit, defiance, and resilience as he navigates the consequences of being blacklisted—losing his job, working under pseudonyms, and watching his friends suffer similar fates. Despite this, Trumbo continued to write and even won two Academy Awards under assumed names. Book online now!

HistoryForge: Crowdsourcing Local HistoryAre you interested in local history and want to help preserve it? Come learn about HistoryForge, a community-sourced digital mapping project hosted by Binghamton University. Community volunteers transcribe census records on the website, which in turn get plotted onto an interactive, digital map. We have started with the 1910 census and are currently transcribing residents in Binghamton’s First Ward, though we hope in the future to incorporate Johnson City, Endicott, and other towns in Broome County. Our free transcription sessions are a great place to meet like-minded history enthusiasts, and food and drinks are provided. Anyone can learn how to do this as long as you have a computer, an internet connection, and the ability to read cursive (or an interest in learning how to do so!).
