January 28, 2026 Dear Brewster Community, This is a follow-up to our January letter regarding the 2026-27 Pre-K program timeline. Due to revisions needed to proposals from some of our potential community-based organizations before they can be recommended for approval by the Board of Education, we must delay the scheduled Parent Information Meetings and the opening of the application. This delay does not delay the overall process. Please note the updated timeline for our Pre-K program: Pre-K Parent Meetings (Virtual): English: Wednesday, February 11th, 6:30 PM via Zoom Spanish: Wednesday, February 11th, 7:30 PM via Zoom Application opens: Thursday, February 12th Application closes: Friday, February 27th Lottery: Wednesday, March 4th at 2:00 PM (This date remains unchanged) Placement notification sent to families: Friday, March 6th (This date remains unchanged) Pre-K Registration: March 23rd-April 10th (This date remains unchanged) We look forward to building on the success of our Pre-K program next school year. Any child who lives in the Brewster Central School District and will be five years old on or before December 1, 2026, is eligible. Please fill out the form below for your eligible future kindergartener. Please return the completed form by email to Mrs. Laura Arzon at [email protected], or you may mail it or drop it off at JFK by January 30, 2026. A packet containing all necessary information will be mailed to you. Please call 845-279-8000 x6162 for English; 845-279-2087 x4144 or x4143 for Spanish, to confirm we have your child's information, so we can ensure you are included in our registration mailing. January 2026 Dear Brewster Community, We are excited to announce that we anticipate continuing our Pre-K program for the 2026-27 school year.  We are confident that State and Federal funding will continue; however, we are uncertain as to the exact level of funding.  This information will be available in the coming months. To prepare for Pre-K for the 2026-27 school year, we will be following this timeline: Pre-K Parent Meetings: Wednesday, January 28, 7:00 PM via Zoom (English) Thursday, January 29th, 7:00 PM via Zoom (Spanish) Application opens: Friday, January 30th Application closes: Friday, February 20th Lottery: Wednesday, March 4th at 2:00 PM (It will be live-streamed and open to the public.) Placement notification sent to families:  Friday, March 6th Pre-K Registration:  March 23rd-April 10th Additional communications will be sent the week of January 26th.  The application will be accessible via our website, and links will be shared via social media.
