Celebrate Quincy Jones with a live tribute by Hawkins & Hawkins at the Buffalo History Museum on Dec 18, 2025. Music, culture, and community.Join The Historic Colored Musicians Club & Jazz Museum as we celebrate a true musical legend with “A Tribute to Quincy Jones.” This special evening honors the extraordinary career and cultural impact of one of the greatest music producers, arrangers, and composers of our time. Experience an unforgettable live performance by Hawkins & Hawkins, delivering a soulful and dynamic tribute set that captures the spirit, innovation, and artistry associated with Quincy’s legacy. Hosted at the iconic Buffalo History Museum, this event is part of the Club’s 90th Anniversary Celebration—a milestone honoring nine decades of music, history, and community. Doors open at 5:30. Junior History Buffs is a program at The Buffalo History Museum that engages children ages 4-11 in age-appropriate history lessons, songs, stories, crafts and games. A short program, or “Circle Time,” is instructor-guided and includes songs, a brief lesson about local history and a story. After this, self-guided activities can be enjoyed by the whole family such as a craft, interactive artifact explorations, and games related to the exhibits. This program takes place every third Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with Circle Time at 10:30 a.m. and a second session at 3:00pm-4:30pm. Enjoy a tour of our Pan-American Exposition inside the Museum’s State Court.  “Return to the Rainbow City: Buffalo’s Pan-American Exposition,” recounts the story of the fair—its planning, construction, and legacy—and features a variety of Pan-Am artifacts, paintings, and photographs. The display includes nearly 100 Pan-Am keepsakes – from cups and mugs to paperweights and playing cards – that souvenir manufacturers created for the fair. Learn about the exhibits, the shows, and the people that drew 8 million visitors to our city.  Investigate the attractions and turn-of-the-century innovations that still impact Buffalo today. The tour lasts one hour, costs $15 ($6 for members) and includes a souvenir map guide. The tour begins promptly at 11AM. Tickets can be purchased here.
