August 2026Dear Kindergarten and UPK Families,Welcome to the Brewerton Elementary School Community! We hope you had a wonderful summer filled with fun, family, and special memories. As summer begins to wind down, we are excited to welcome your child to Brewerton Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. Starting school is such an exciting milestone, and we are honored to be a part of this important first step in your child’s educational journey.At Brewerton Elementary, we believe that a strong partnership between school and family is the foundation for student success. We are excited to work together to make this a positive, happy, and successful school experience.To help your child feel comfortable and excited about starting school, we invite you and your child to join us for: Kindergarten & UPK OrientationTuesday, September 1, 20269:00 – 11:00 a.m.We will begin our orientation in the Brewerton Elementary School classrooms promptly at 9:00 a.m. Families will receive a warm welcome and have the opportunity to learn important information from the Principal, school nurse, food service and PTO.While parents/guardians are learning more about Brewerton Elementary, students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, visit their classrooms, and explore their new school. Students will also get to see important places throughout the building, including the cafeteria and buses, helping them feel more comfortable and confident before their first day. Families will have time to connect with the principal and teachers, ask questions, and begin building relationships with the staff who will support their child throughout the year.At Brewerton Elementary, we use the PikMyKid program to help organize our dismissal process and enhance student safety. Before attending orientation, please download the PikMyKid app onto your smartphone. During orientation, we will help families connect their accounts, review dismissal options, and answer any questions you may have.We will also introduce you to the SchoolTool Parent Portal, which provides families with access to important student information, including attendance records and report cards.
