Six Expert Teachers over Six Months…Chatham Yoga Center will hold its first ever Yoga Teacher Training beginning December 2025. We have gathered six expert teachers in their individual fields who will teach you over the course of six months, from December 2025 until June 2026. Expert teachers over six months of training is one of the most important descriptions for this training because it is our bedrock. We’re not churning out cookie-cutter yoga teachers. Your teachers have studied the main subjects they’ll teach for well over a decade and often much longer. The days of our teacher training will begin with pranayama, chanting, and meditation. From there, we’ll shift into the physical practice of asana. From this base, we’ll dive into the nitty gritty of Yoga: the yamas and niyamas, the how and why your femur and hip socket work together and why you should care. The philosophy of Yoga and how and why to root ourselves in that. The gradual learning of safe, consented adjustments and developing the confidence to stand in front of a room of yogis and teach a sequence. You’ll find your voice, and you’ll be so glad you did.

Join Anna and Alex of Empty Space for an immersive sound meditation class, designed to awaken your inner stillness and expand your capacity to listen. This 75-minute session weaves together breathwork, gentle vocalization, and resonant sound to help you regulate the nervous system and drop into deeper states of presence. We begin with guided breathwork to clear stagnant energy and ground the body, followed by simple vocal toning practices that invite you to explore the healing vibration of your own voice. As your body softens and your awareness opens, we invite you to participate in active listening to the rich, meditative tones of singing bowls, chimes, and other harmonic instruments. This is a space to let go, to attune, and to receive.

“Toddler & Me” is a 4-week series led by Aurore Stanek, who designed and created these programs as “A Tree Told Me“. The series begins January 7th, and occurs each Wednesday until January 28th, 2026. Each of these series are parent-centric spaces and children are welcome. These series are NOT Baby workshops. Your child will benefit on many levels from attending but the series is designed for you. Feel free to come with or without your little one! The primary focus of this series is for the parent to listen to their sensations and emotions. Breath work, chest and shoulder-opening poses, pelvic connection, core strengthening, and balance practices are all parts of both these series. Bringing awareness to different aspects of the Matrescence/Patrescence, these postnatal classes are also the opportunity to reflect on the process of becoming a parent and the expectations that we might have for this transition.
