Library Ensemble: A Community Band!

Join us on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 6 to 7:30 pm for meetings of the Library Ensemble, a community band led by Sam Zimmerman! We recommend this program for ages 16 and up.

Join host Colleen Harris for a friendly group dedicated to crochet and good books! Colleen has taught beginner crochet lessons at several libraries, and is able to accommodate all skill levels (she does ask that participants in this group be over age 18). If attending for the first time, please let us know in advance by calling the library at 518-993-4646 so that Colleen can bring the necessary supplies. This group also holds informal book discussions, which all are welcome to join regardless of whether you’re learning crochet! Participation in the book discussions is not required for anyone interested only in crochet lessons.

Our next major book sale is coming up from August 27th to 30th! With so many donations this year, we have an incredible collection of books and other materials to browse (including an amazing assortment of cookbooks–you’ll have to see it to believe it, folks)! This sale is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and all proceeds go directly to keeping our library operational. Thank you for all your support, and we’ll see you at the sale! If you have books you’d like to donate to the sale, feel free to drop them off at the library any time during operating hours (no books with dirt, dust, or cobwebs on them, please)! We are also accepting donations of small rummage sale items (no clothing, please). If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 518-993-4646!

The library board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the final Wednesday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.
