Enjoy a mindful evening at Overmountain! Join Joy Solomon, certified mindfulness meditation teacher, for a guided thirty-minute meditation practice inspired by and overlooking stunning Catskill Mountain views. Drawing from over ten years of meditation teaching experience and countless hours exploring trails and trees, this accessible practice will be grounded in nature. Whether new to meditation or seasoned with an established practice, this program offers a unique opportunity to experience stillness amid the wonder of nature. No prior experience is necessary! What to expect: We will walk about a half-mile to and from the Kite’s Hill Gazebo along the Kestrel Trail, which features open, grassy terrain and a max grade of 9%. The program will also include sitting for an extended period during the meditation. Additional trail information can be found here. Please note that this event will still occur in light rain or snow, but registrants will be contacted in extreme weather! What to bring: Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear and bring additional layers, water, and a blanket or chair. What not to bring: Please, no dogs.

Experience some family fun educational experiences with WALLY FARMS who will be hosting a mushroom log inoculation workshop, Lime Kiln Farm with their “Pet a Sheep” booth, LIKEMINDEDOBJECTS will have a diy clothing mending table with how-to instructions for stitches ect. Come shop Fresh Cut Flowers, Bulbs for planting , Veggie Starts, Pantry Items straight from our local farms, Vintage & Handmade Clothing, even Sunglasses primarily made with recycled plastics. Also, ENOKI Asian Pantry & Foraged Goods based out of Saugerties , are taking over the entire Back Gallery with REFLECTIONS OF HOME , a celebration, marketplace, food pop-up and exhibition that weaves together the stories of the Asian Diasporic community.

Talbott & Arding is proud to have been one of the first businesses to work with Seed + Mill, and our Sesame Focaccia is featured in the book. Our Kitchen and Pastry Teams will be preparing recipes from the book for tasting and for sale. As they have been for years, Seed + Mill products, such as tahini and halva will be available for purchase in-store. The book features an approachable collection of 80+ recipes celebrating the sesame seed. With its delicious nutty taste, nutritional density, and long shelf life, the sesame seed is a tiny ingredient with an enormous cultural impact and a deeply rich history. Rachel Simons is the founder of Seed+Mill, the first store devoted to sesame products in the United States.
