The weird and wonderful family comes to life in this magnificently macabre musical featuring everyone’s favorite creepy, kooky characters. Gomez Addams faces a dilemma that’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Celebrate America’s 250th Independence Day at the home of the Livingston’s in Clermont. What was life like for the people of Clermont at the dawn of the Revolutionary War? See reenactors portray the daily life of these colonists through live demonstrations. Meet the Livingston family inside the historic mansion. Make a historic craft and try out a colonial game. Be entertained by the songs and stories of the era and end the day with a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Please note: The cost of this event is $15 per vehicle. Cash only. The event ends at 5:00pm. The park closes at sunset. (there will be no fireworks viewing)

The Steepletop grounds and trails will be open to explore, as will the Gift Shop, and The Jackson Gallery in the Tamarack Visitors Center will feature the exhibition “Edna St. Vincent Millay: Life at Steepletop, 1925-1950.” This collection presents artifacts from Millay’s 25 years at Steepletop. Docent-led 60-minute House tours are available at the times listed below. House tour tickets do not require advance purchase but are strictly limited. Purchasing these tickets in advance is strongly encouraged to secure your spot on a tour. Grounds and Picnic passes may be purchased in advance or on site on the days of the event. House Tour Tickets: $25.00 per person. Includes tour and single-day access to grounds, exhibition, and special events. Grounds and Picnic Pass: $10.00 per person. From the driving rhythms of bluegrass to breezy island melodies, Will Proper plays what he loves. Growing up along the Hudson River in Athens NY, Will always had the company of a guitar since he started playing at 14. He fell in love with music and got addicted to the craft of songwriting. He started singing for the first time in a high school southern rock band. These days, Will’s set is packed full of musical curve balls. Not concerned with conforming to the limits of genre, you’ll hear Doc Watson inspired country and bluegrass flat picking, James Taylor-esque acoustic finger style, Bob Marley flavored reggae rhythms, and everything in between you’re sure to hear something you’ll enjoy. All concerts are weather permitting.
