Insects are essential to a thriving ecosystem, and this rustic garden accent offers them a perfect home. By inviting beneficial insects into your garden, you will also attract birds and amphibians, reduce pest problems, and enjoy more abundant harvests. This four foot tall tower is built using twigs to form a teepee style frame anchored by a wood base. Willow or vines are woven through the structure to hold a rich variety of natural materials such as pine cones, bark strips, and hollow stems of different sizes, all chosen to provide ideal habitat for pollinators and other helpful creatures. Ornamental vines can also be trained to grow up the sides, blending the tower beautifully into your garden. All materials and instructions are included, and each participant will create their own unique tower to take home. The bees, butterflies, and birds will thank you.Jessica Williams is an artist with a passion for plants. Her organic garden has been featured in Garden Conservancy Open Days and in national publications. She is currently exploring rewilding, mint containment strategies, and unusual annuals sourced from British seed catalogs. Through hands on workshops, from wreath making to dahlia cultivation, she delights in helping others connect with both nature and their own creativity.
